After that, you will go to the most important spiritual site of Rhodes: the Monastery of Panagia Tsambika with its miraculous icon. You will take a walk down the central, forested part of the island to Petaloudes – the Butterfly Valley. In this valley with its own micro-climate, you will get in touch with nature, admiring famous Rhodian butterflies called Jersey Tiger moths. The next stop is Mandraki Harbour, where the legendary Colossus of Rhodes once stood. You will also take a tour of the medieval Old Town, admiring the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, one of the best-preserved medieval streets in Europe – the Street of the Knights, the main Socrates Street, and Hippocrates Square. Having finished sightseeing, you will have two hours to explore the town on your own and to do some shopping.
